We are a faith community with caring hearts, reaching out to pray and offer care any way we can. Through our local church and as a denomination we seek ways to show God’s love to others by taking action.
Free Community Meal Provided Monthly
All are invited to a monthly community supper on the third Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Mount Horeb Community Center, 107 N. Grove St. The meal is sponsored by local community organizations, including Mount Horeb United Methodist Church, which spearheaded creation of the event in 2015 and continues to coordinate still today. There is no cost to attend, and everyone is welcome to visit old friends and make new ones while enjoying food, fellowship, and fun. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
This group leads the support of local, denominational and global mission projects. They raise awareness of need and offer ways the congregation can show care to others. Items for local food pantries are collected monthly; clothing drives are seasonal. Other local efforts are also supported: Heartland Farm Sanctuary, Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS), Habitat for Humanity The Road Home, United Methodist Children’s Services, and many others. Contact the church office if you need help or are ready to help others. Call (608) 437-3088 or email email@example.com.
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
UMCOR leads our disaster relief efforts around the world, helping our local contributions make a difference where they are needed most. UMCOR is dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe, and their work reaches people in more than 80 countries including the United States. Through this denominational relief organization we provide humanitarian relief when war, conflict, or natural disaster disrupt life to such an extent that communities are unable to recover on their own.
