Bible & Book Studies
Book Study sponsored by the Social Justice Team
Wednesday, August 20, 6:30 p.m.
Church Gathering Space
The Social Justice Team invites you to read the award-winning novel, "Solito: A Memoir" (2022), by Salvadoran poet Javier Zamora. The book follows Zamora's immigration from El Salvador to the United States when he is nine years old.
In this time of intense scrutiny surrounding immigrants and the immigration system, it helps to put a face and a story to the issues before us so that we might move forward with love and compassion toward all our neighbors. All are welcome to participate!
We will meet together to discuss the book on Wednesday, August 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Gathering Space. Participants should read the book prior to the discussion. Please contact the church office with any questions you may have.
